The development of labour law practice took place organically, as a necessity of a law firm hyper-specialization in business law.


The commercial arbitration and litigation practices, which are at the core of Oglinda & Partners’ foundation, required the development of a solid corporate law practice area, including M&A.

In turn, the corporate law practice naturally attracted the need for a strong labour law team. M&A consists also in taking over employees from the target company, and we provide the legal mechanisms for restructuration and adaptation to the resulting company.

We also assist clients during taking over process through negotiations with employee representatives in order to establish the takeover conditions, organizational charts and job descriptions.

Specific services:

  • Counselling and representing clients in all aspects related to disciplinary liability;
  • Advising on individual employment contracts: negotiation; drafting; conclusion; termination; effects (including litigation regarding the interpretation of specific clauses, such as confidentiality, non-competition or liability;
  • Drafting of internal regulations, organizational charts;
  • Counselling in the termination of employment contracts for various reasons: restructuring, disciplinary liability, resignations, termination by agreement of the parties, etc.
  • The assistance of a financial institution during negotiations carried out for termination of individual employment contracts and the waiver of any monetary claims against employees under disciplinary investigation for committing acts specific to the embezzlement;
  • Assistance and representation in a class action initiated by employees for wage rights granted by a special law, achiving for our clients the payment of the last 2 years wage. Following this litigation, the Romanian Parliament amended the legislation, clarifying the provisions of the law in the sense shown by the lawyers Oglinda&Partners;
  • Representation of an employee for the annulment in court of the illegal dismissal decision, achieving a decision for reinstatement and payment of compensation wages for the past 3 years;
  • Assistance in complying with GDPR requirements, by drawing up specific regulations and procedures and advising staff in implementing the measures imposed by the EU regulation offered to a wide range of customers, including a leading advertising agency;
  • Legal advice offered to individuals on the protection of rights provided by the individual labour contract / collective labour contract;
  • Legal advice offered to legal entities for the conclusion of individual labour contract, integration of teleworking system, etc.
