Mihai Ionescu-Balea has been a Lawyer at Oglindă & Partners since 2019, in the International Arbitration and Public Procurement department.
In international arbitration Mihai has represented clients in construction disputes regarding quality of works claims, delay penalties, price adjustment, etc. His calling for new and continuous challenges made Mihai to gain a broad expertise in international arbitration, expending his know-how also to disputes related to energy and renewable, technology, financial contracts, joint ventures’ conflicts, etc.
Mihai also has a very good knowledge of public procurement procedures, providing consultancy and representation. His area of expertise in public procurement covers every phase of the procedure, from drafting tenders, identifying risks in contractual terms, and overseeing the client’s relation with the contracting authority, to litigation procedures regarding public procurement contracts.
His interest in constantly improving his lawyering skills and know-how is reflected also in his publishing activity, with numerous studies and articles published in law reviews and participations as a speaker at international law conferences.
